eBuyNigeria encourages its users to 'rate' each other. Ratings are dependent on actual experiences that users like you have while buying and selling. Buyers rate buyers based on seller service and product quality. Seller rate buyers depending on ease of transaction, receiving payments etc. There are two kinds of ratings - Positive and Negative.

Buyer's rating to seller:
Great service. Delivered the product on time and in excellent packaging! Recommended seller.
Seller's rating to buyer:
Genuine buyer. Quick in making payments. Highly recommended.
Before buying and selling, you can view the ratings of other users which will help you take an informed decision. This way eBuyNigeria guards against buyers and sellers who may have a bad history of transactions. By providing an open platform such as 'Ratings' eBuyNigeria promotes the basic value of honesty.
You can rate the users you transact with through his/her 'Member Profile Page'. Please remember that you can rate another user only if you have transacted with him on eBuyNigeria.
The rating system is infinite; meaning that the higher the figure, the more referrals a seller has vice versa
To check a user's ratings, From the Item Details Page, you would see a list of options by your right. When you click on "View Seller Profile", you will be lead to his profile. A user's profile gives an account of all the selling and buying activity undertaken by him and also his authentication status on eBuyNigeria.
There are numbers mentioned in brackets next to the user's Various ratings. These numbers give you the ratings status of the user. The positive ratings are indicated without a '-' sign,and the negative ratings are indicated with a '-' sign.
Example:
Buy Rating: [-2], Sell Rating[3], eBuyNigeria [0]. This simply means that 2 sellers have rated this member buying transactions negatively, while 3 sellers have rated his selling transactions positively, with zero rating by eBuyNigeria.
You can view your own ratings from your 'my eBuyNigeria' section. Just click on 'Ratings' in the 'Account Info' section.
Following are the Ratings Rules that all users need to follow:
A. The Rating Criteria for buyers:
1. You can edit a rating given to the seller before 60 days of purchase.
2. You cannot rate a member more than once a day.
3. You cannot abuse the rating system:
Abuse of the system includes using accounts of your friends or your own secondary accounts to lower the rating of another member or raise your own rating. Threatening, abusive, racially vilifying, discriminatory or profane language is also abuse of the system and is not allowed. If your language is any of these elements, the user can file legal proceedings against you and you will be held liable for your comment.
4.eBuyNigeria reserves the right to delete any rating at its sole discretion upon an investigation into the rating. The ratings system promotes freedom of speech on eBuyNigeria. We encourage users to rate other user with respect to the experience they have while transacting. Therefore we remove feedback only in exceptional circumstances.
